You don’t have to be in a big corporate office environment, maybe it is your baby sitter, handy man or gardener. Maybe it is a regular customer, who you don’t ‘really’ know, but appreciate his/her business. Finding that special gift is getting harder as the jungle of mass marketing super stores grows and grows.
Whoever you might want to thank with a holiday gift, consider making it more impactful by tying it to social responsibility. A more meaningful message than a large jar of cashews or a fruit cake, is a gift that is handcrafted, unique, telling a story about the artisan and how the purchase of such a product benefits their family and their community.
Here’s a few suggestions ….Kapula candles and ceramics. Zizamele friendship tea lights. Table runners or aprons by Julians. All these gifts are handmade and hand painted by local artisans in South Africa. Their lives depend on the purchase of these products to help them to support their families.
I was picking up our order for some tea lights today from Original t-bag Designs to ship over to the United States, and the smiles on faces and thanks I received from the artisans in the workshop was overwhelming.
In addition, a donation from each sale we make goes to Save the Rhino to help them in their mission to protect this critically endangered species.
So enjoy your holiday shopping. It really should be a fun experience – and we thank you, on behalf of the artisans we support, for YOUR support of our mission!
